Almost everyone knows the silhoutte of my city. It’s on many breakfast tables. But the name on the jam jars is different. Because the factory from which you can see the silhouette is already in the next town.
These seven towers dominate the medieval skyline. In the past – so I was told – the value of a property was measured by how many towers you could see from there. They are unmistakable landmarks in the middle of the old city.
I look at the towers approximately. Indistinct and vague. And yet they point the gaze in the right direction.
This is an ICM Photo (intentional camera movement). The image is created – or not – in the moment of the shot. I do not salvage almost-perfect shots with Photoshop. All you see are effects that were created in the camera. (ICE – in camera effects).
I print my photos on Hahnemühle fine art paper. It is almost like a hand-made „Büttenpapier“. It gives the pictures a soft look. Almost like pastel chalk.
